A glimpse at the new uniforms for the 2014 season.
The Texas State University baseball team is gearing up for the 2014 season… literally! The Bobcats unveiled these new uniforms they will be sporting this season. The Bobcats got in touch with their inner 1970’s Houston Astros uniforms with the ones on the right. Personally, I was not of fan of either of these at first, but in only one day they have grown on me. I am really looking forward to seeing them in action. Leave me a comment and tell me what you think about these uniforms.
The 2014 schedule has been released, and the first opportunity to see the Bobcats live in action is on Friday, February 14, when the Bobcats open up the season by hosting the University of Michigan at 3:30 PM. The Bobcats are hosting a tournament from Feb. 14-16 featuring Michigan, The University of Washington, and Air Force.
In other college baseball news, the preseason Top 25 poll was released and the Sun Belt has one representative. Louisiana-Lafayette comes in at No. 14.

A look at Bobcat Ballpark.
My name is Sam Isenberg, I a 19 year old Mass Communication- Electronic Media Major at Texas State University, and to say the least I love sports. So, when we were given the assignment of creating a blog, I had no doubt my topic would involve sports, it was deciding what aspect of the sport’s world I would write about.
I have chosen to do a blog on the Texas State Bobcat baseball team. I have a job with the athletic department, and I will attend nearly every game, so the choice is logical. However, I hope to incorporate the role the students (fans) play in the game, the atmosphere of Bobcat Ballpark, as well as provide an analysis of each of the Bobcat’s games.
This blog caters toward baseball fans, students of our university, and those who are interested in reading a student’s take on the product his school puts out to represent America’s pastime.
This is an exciting time for Bobcat baseball, a new conference, a great recruiting class, and a chance to improve of last years 29-29 season.
Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks cause it’s time to play ball.
